During the third quarter of 2024, the Film & Television category on iOS in Mexico showcased dynamic trends among its top five applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed overview of the downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these popular apps.

ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias from Univision Communications Inc. experienced notable fluctuations. Weekly downloads peaked at around 178K in early August, while revenue saw a high of approximately $580K during the same period. Despite these highs, the app's active users declined from 349K at the start of July to 277K by the end of September.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies maintained a relatively stable download rate, with figures hovering around 87K in early July, decreasing slightly to 63K by the end of September. Revenue peaked at about $596K in mid-July, showing a strong performance, while active users remained consistently high, ending the quarter at 749K.

Disney+ saw a consistent increase in revenue, reaching nearly $990K in the last week of September. Downloads had a mid-quarter dip but bounced back to over 53K in the last week. Active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter at approximately 723K.

Netflix showed steady weekly revenue, with figures staying around $35K throughout the quarter. Downloads varied, peaking at around 70K in mid-July. Despite these variations, Netflix maintained a strong active user base, closing the quarter with over 2M users.

Finally, Amazon Prime Video saw a later increase in revenue, starting from negligible figures and reaching over $27K by the end of September. Downloads initially dipped but rose to 74K in late September. Active users remained stable, starting the quarter at 404K and closing at 372K.
